Career and technical education, funded by Perkins V

Perkins V funds flow from the state to districts by formula, and districts must complete a Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA) to justify how they spend them. The next Texas CLNA cycle is expected to open around February 2027. Kira can give your CTE team course evidence and standards-aligned content to support that planning.

Teachers start with diagnostics, then move to personalized lessons and weekly exit slips. We support every session with training and a standing check-in.

Leaders review growth data with us and decide together whether to expand, adjust, or pause.

An example from a Texas district

An after-school program for about 100 students in grades 2 through 5, meeting twice a week. Students began with quick STAAR aligned diagnostics, then moved to personalized lessons and exit slips all generated by Kira. Teachers reviewed the exit-ticket data each week to monitor progress and inform support.
